REGISTRATION NOW AVAILABLE

You have the opportunity to register with MyMedicare and select our clinic as your preferred medical center. Registration can be completed online or in person at our clinic.

Is there a fee for registering with MyMedicare, and when can I start the registration process?

No, registration with MyMedicare is free. You can start the registration process from October 1, 2023, with no closing date or deadline.

How can I register online, and what steps do I need to follow to select our clinic as my preferred medical center in the MyMedicare system?

To register online, initiate the process in your Medicare Online Account or Express Plus Medicare Mobile app. Find our medical center in the list of registered GP clinics in MyMedicare, and our staff will accept the registration in the system. Follow the provided steps for a smooth online registration.

If I can’t find our clinic in the list of registered GP clinics during online registration, what should I do, and is there a timeframe to check back?

If our clinic isn’t listed, check back later in the month, as we may still be in the setup process in the system. The timeframe for checking back is not specified.

What is the alternative to online registration, and how can I register in person at our medical center?

Alternatively, you can visit our medical center and fill out a registration form at the reception. By signing the form, you provide consent for our staff to register you in MyMedicare. Our practice staff will then complete the registration in the MyMedicare system for you.

Could you explain the purpose of MyMedicare and the additional benefits it offers to patients with a Medicare Card?

MyMedicare is a voluntary patient registration model offering additional Medicare benefits to patients with a Medicare Card. These benefits include longer MBS-funded telehealth consultations and a ‘Triple Bulk Billing’ incentive for specific groups, making healthcare more accessible.

When is the eligibility date for patients to register for MyMedicare, and what criteria must be met?

Patients who have had two face-to-face consults with GPs in the clinic in the past 24 months can register for MyMedicare from October 1, 2023.

Is there a cost associated with the registration process, and what are the benefits of registering our medical center as my ‘home clinic’?

No, registration is free. Benefits of registering our medical center as your ‘home clinic’ include access to longer telehealth consultations and the ‘Triple Bulk Billing’ incentive for eligible patients.

Can I register my children with MyMedicare, and what is the process for obtaining benefits for them?

Registration is optional for children. Parents/guardians must register children under 14, providing consent. For young people aged 14 to 17, they can register and provide consent without a parent/guardian.

Once registered, am I obligated to exclusively visit my chosen ‘home clinic,’ or can I still seek medical assistance elsewhere?

No obligation. You can visit any medical center or doctor, but the extra Medicare benefits apply only at your chosen ‘home’ clinic. You can also unregister at any time.
