Home visits are bulk billed for patients with a Medicare Card
Please ring 9743 1970 for an appointment or book online. Every effort will be made to accommodate your preferred time and GP.
Emergencies will be given priority and reception staff will attempt to contact you if there is any unforeseen delay or your doctor has been called away.
SMS reminders for your appointment will be sent out the day before. If you do not wish to receive reminders by SMS, please advise reception you wish to opt out.
Please inform our staff of any change to your personal details such as telephone numbers addresses, emergency and next of kin contact names and numbers.
Longer consultation times are available so speak to our receptionists if you require extra time for your appointment.
Long consultations need to be booked for procedures, medical reports and form filling.
We will endeavor to accommodate patients who walk in without an appointment, where possible.
However, at busy times, there may be a
wait time.
Scripts
For any repeat prescription, patient’s must come to the clinic to obtain the script. An appointment must be made.
Script requests will not be taken over the telephone. Patient’s must come in to see a doctor as it is a requirement by Medicare / Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme.
Scott Street Medical Centre BULK BILLS all patients with a current Medicare Card.
Please present your Medicare / DVA / Centrelink cards upon attendance at Reception.
Overseas visitors or patients without a Medicare Card will be billed the following:-
Private Consultations Fees
Up to 25 minutes : $40.00
Between 25 to 45 minutes : $80.00
From 45 minutes to 1 hour : $120.00
Over 1 hour : $140.00
Forms and Paperwork not payable by Medicare
Up to 25 minutes : $60.00
Between 25 to 45 minutes : $100.00
45 minutes to 1 hour : $140.00
Over 1 hour : $180.00
Workcover and TAC are billed directly to the employer or Insurance Company once you have an accepted claim. In the case of TAC, you may need to meet a medical excess. TAC will be able to advise you if this applies in your case.
Pre-employment medicals and medical reports may incur a charge to the patient. Please ask our friendly staff for information or refer to our signage at Reception which explains in detail our fees and charges and what incurs an out of pocket expense.
Your medical record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

Interpreter services are available if required through the Translating Interpreting Service (TIS) on 131 450.
For patients who have hearing or speech impairments, the NABS (National Auslan
